Meet Rhonda

Rhonda describes herself as a "God-fearing, Bible believing, follower of Jesus Christ. A freedom-loving, First and Second Amendment-supporting, Constitution-loving, truth-seeking proud American.
She believes in the sanctity of life, personal responsibility, that our rights come from God and not from government. She follows Lou Holtz's First Rule, “Just do the right thing,” because it "covers most every situation."
She is a native Coloradan and has been married to her husband Tom and they have resided in Elbert County for 29 years and have three sons, two daughters-in-law, and are thrilled to be welcoming their first grandchild in May of 2022.
She has served Elbert County by leading church & youth programs, and as a teacher, in the classrooms and sports programs.
Rhonda is a proud member of the Elbert County Republicans, the Chairman’s Club, and the Elbert County Republican Women. She has a great working relationship with the:
- Commissioners and other elected officials & looks forward to working with them to continue to address the needs of Elbert County citizens.
- Election officials and County Clerks across the state.
- Republican party – and all others that want the best for our community
With all the responsibilities a County Clerk has, we need a strong leader in that position. Rhonda has developed essential leadership skills that will serve her well as clerk, such as utilizing clear communication & consistent expectations. She is comfortable with multi-tasking and team building. She works hard, leads by example, and enjoys working in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
